Atlas
of Tuscan Walks
In Tuscany, you are always at the center of a network of grand routes

Tuscany is the heart of Italy, and has always held center stage in the country’s extraordinary history and nature, as it is crossed by large and small routes. Step after step, visitors can discover the unique heritage of villages, towns and great cities of art, naturally connected by the historical routes. This is an ancient and, at the same time, very contemporary way to establish a relationship with this land and its icons.

The Apennine passes of Radici, Cisa, Alpe Serra and Croce Arcana act as symbolic gateways to this world, where time is marked by the sound of one’s footsteps, and led by the pleasure of walking.

The parks of the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine are just two of the several natural reserves crossed by these routes.

The routes pass through six Tuscan World Heritage Sites

Siena, Florence, Arezzo and Lucca are cities of art, which become intersections between the various routes: important nodes of this system that connect history, people, and emotions. Furthermore, visitors can discover the enthralling ancient world of small towns that tell stories of ages past and traditions, unveiling secrets locked inside churches, exhibited in museums and spread across the countryside: a new, personal and sustainable way to experience Tuscany.

The Atlas of Walks traces the network of cultural routes criss-crossed over this historical land, which become a true portal to the great art-historical and naturalistic heritage of Tuscany.
