21st edition of the Medieval Festival of the neighborhood Canneti in San Quirico d’Orcia
The 21st edition of the Medieval Festival of the neighborhood Canneti - The White and the Blue (Il Bianco e l'Azzurro) - is scheduled in San Quirico d'Orcia from Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19.
Three days of white and blue hues, in the name of historical reenactment and entertainment, with the flavors of medieval and typical Val d'Orcia cuisine, and the charm of the Middle Ages.
Flag-wavers, drummers and clarions, archers, medieval music and dancing, and then the long-awaited medieval banquet with comedy (reservations required) in the shadow of the 13th-century walls of San Quirico and the giant 6-meter-high trebuchet, handcrafted by the artisans of Canneti.
Saturday at 4:30 p.m. an Urban Trekking, a route among the beauties of the historic center, discovering the monuments and medieval life, among characters, history, culture and mystery.
