Plan

  • Stage 1: The itinerary begins at the Cathedral of Lucca and then follows the arches of the aqueduct, leading you through the lush green countryside. You'll reach a spot known as "Alle parole d'oro," where water from the Serra Vespaiata is collected. From here, a slightly more challenging section begins, as you'll need to tackle a 2-kilometer ascent to reach Gallonzora, a picturesque spot offering panoramic views of the Piana di Lucca, before finally arriving in Vorno
  • Stage 2: Leaving Vorno, you will face climbs leading to the saddle of the Campo di Croce pass. From there, you'll descend through the holm oak forests on the Pisan side. Along the way, you'll encounter one of the many intakes of the springs feeding the Medici Aqueduct of Pisa. After a brief downhill stretch, you'll arrive at Asciano. From Asciano, you'll follow the bicycle/pedestrian path for 4 kilometers until reaching Piazza delle Gondole, in Pisa
