Come to ride through Brunello vineyards! This cycling tour starts from the beautiful Pienza, one of the most perfect Renaissance towns in Italy. Heading west, through ancient vineyards, stone farmhouses and bright green pastures, we will follow a long downhill alongside the enchanting spa town of Bagno Vignoni, a very small village whose ancient stone buildings cluster around a pool of warm thermal waters.
Then we'll go uphill to reach Castiglione d'Orcia and take a break in the central square with a panoramic view.
Back in the saddle, soon you will enjoy 9 km downhill to the monastery of Sant'Antimo Abbey.
The reward for our efforts are Montalcino and its Fortress, where we'll enjoy one long last look at the beautiful countryside all around. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the hamlet and, if you like, have a light lunch.
Last but not least, we'll visit a winery and taste one of the best Italian wines.
