A multi-sensory exhibition space inside Gucci Garden a few steps from Palazzo Vecchio

The elegant Palazzo della Mercanzia in Piazza della Signoria in Florence is home to the Gucci Museum, better known as the Gucci Garden Gallery, a multi-sensory exhibition space created to tell the story and philosophy of this important Florentine fashion house, founded in 1921 thanks to Guccio Gucci.

The Gucci archive's permanent exhibition takes us on a 100-year journey, tracing some of the maison's milestones through historic advertising campaigns, craftsmanship and vintage objects that have become true icons of fashion history.

The Gucci Museum spreads across two floors and opens with the Guccification room, dedicated to the brand's double G and the vocabulary used by fans. Going ahead there are several rooms among which the Cosmorama room, which recounts Gucci's historic clientele from the international jet-set.

Particularly striking are the two De Rerum Natura rooms, inspired by natural history museums and telling us about the love of animals and nature of Alessandro Michele, the creative director of the fashion house and creator of the museum. Concluding the exhibition is Ephemera, the room where the history of Gucci can be traced through objects, videos and memories.
