Artefacts from Prehistory to the Roman period found in the territory are on display

The Archeological Museum in Saturnia conserves the Ciacci family collection, comprising artefacts from Prehistory to the Roman period that were found in the late 1800s/early 1900s in the territory around Saturnia, Sovana and Pitigliano and in other sites in the Fiora and Albegna valleys.

The artefacts offer a complete overview of the most characteristic materials used in the Fiora Valley througout the Etruscan and Roman periods, from the 7th century BCE to the imperial age.

The visit also includes artefacts from the Roman era on display in piazza Vittorio Veneto and from the Puntone Necropolis.

The museum is temporarily closed.
