The funerary mask of Napoleon Bonaparte is among the pieces conserved here

The Accademia degli Euteleti is an institution that belongs to the San Miniato Museum Network. Founded in the early 17th century, the Accademia brought together the city’s intellectuals under the crest of a horse running victoriously. Its main objective since its foundation was the spread and development of not only literature but also scientific knowledge and the study of agriculture.

Currently, the Accademia degli Euteleti has a museum that conserves important documents, historical prints and priceless works of contemporary graphic design by Pietro Parigi (1892-1985) and the local painter Dilvo Lotti. In addition to its historical and documentary value, the collection is also famous for conserving the funerary mask of Napoleon Bonaparte, whose family history could be traced to San Miniato.
